It has been almost a month since I came home from Bei Jing, however, I can feel my heart is still there.
The "Chinese Knot", represents auspiciousness in the Chinese tradition, is one of my favorite typical local arts in China.
Hu Tong Tour was not the last place I visit in Bei Jing, but it was one of the most memorable ones. During the tour, there was a tourist guide riding his bike with us, who generously explained to us the history of Hu Tong and Si-He-Yuan, a historical type of residence that was commonly found in Bei Jing. The name literally means a courtyard surrounded by four buildings. Hu Tongs, are narrow streets, commonly associated with the Si-He-Yuan in Bei Jing.
